Debora Marie (nee Kappner) Sandmann passed away peacefully at her residence in Maineville, Ohio. Beloved wife of 30 years to Steven Sandmann. Devoted mother of Angela and Eva Sandmann. Dear sister of Joyce (George) Troutman and Susan Lansaw-McLaughlin preceded her in death. Survived by many Cousins, Nieces and Nephews. She had a passion for cooking and interior decorating. Born in Cincinnati on March 8, 1956 to Ervin and Eva Kappner. She attended St. George's Catholic School in Clifton. She was a 100 yard freestyle swimmer for the Cincinnati Pepsi Marlins Swim Team from 1970-1973. She graduated on June 5, 1974 from Our Lady of Angels, Catholic High School. She attended the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati in 1975. She worked as a High Fashion Clothing buyer for the Gidding Jenny from 1979-1990, traveling to New York's clothing district. Her fight with Lung Cancer caused her to retire from the Store Manager of the West Chester Servatti's Bakery in December 2009. Visitation at Gilligan Funeral Home, 2926 Woodburn Avenue, Cincinnati, OH on Thursday (March 9) from 5:30-8:00pm. Celebration Mass at Holy Cross-Immaculata Church, Guido Street, Mt. Adams on Friday March 10 at 10:30 am followed by internment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Montgomery Road. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati.
