Dave died peacefully on February 24th, 2025, with his beloved wife Kathy (Lukens) by his side. He is survived by 3 children: Karl (Kimberly), Theresa (Joe) Fisher, and Craig; and 5 grandchildren: Nicholas and Aubryanne Leugers, and Eliza, Quinn and Eric Fisher.

Dave is also survived by his 95-year-old brother and best friend Paul Leugers, and his wife Ruth.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents George and Louise (Vogt) and 7 siblings – George, William (Bill), Mary Louise, Dorothy, Margaret, John and Joseph (Joe).

In 1957, Dave graduated from Purcell High School. He served in ROTC while attending Xavier University, graduating from XU in 1962 with a BS in Accounting. Dave then joined the Navy as a Supply Officer on a ship home-ported in Japan. He was honorably discharged in 1965.

Dave's career was devoted to Leugers Fine Furniture, well-known throughout Cincinnati for generations.

His favorite place to vacation every summer was the Leugers family cottage in Lake Leelanau, MI. Days there were filled with water skiing, sailing, wave runners, volleyball, climbing the Dunes and much more. Evenings were spent around the campfire and playing cards. This gave Dave the opportunity to establish enduring relationships and "favorite uncle" status with his 50+ nieces and nephews.

Among his family and friends, Dave was well known for his woodworking and creative talents. One of his many projects was making a to-scale size replica of the Lake Leelanau family cottage.

Dave will be truly missed by all who knew him and loved him.

Mass of Christian Burial at St. Vincent Ferrer Church on Saturday, March 8th at 10:30am (7754 Montgomery Rd, Kenwood, 45236).

Celebration of Life immediately following at The Remington Room (7813 Ted Gregory Lane, Montgomery, 45242).

Dave's favorite color was "plaid." If you are attending his funeral and/or Celebration of Life, consider wearing something plaid in memory of him!!
