David J. Creahan, died July 11, 2005, age 89. Devoted husband of 61 years to Ruth Janice Creahan (nee Winterman); beloved father of David Jr. (Elise), Tom (Sherrie Davison), Mary Shorten (John), Kathy (David Funke), Julie (Steve Marquardt), Lisa (deceased), Kevin, Ann Herder (John) and John (Deb Cronheim); dear grandfather of fourteen and great grandfather of five; special uncle of Nancy Becker (Roland). Purcell HS Class of 1934; University of Cincinnati B.B.A. 1939; Northern Kentucky University J.D. 1975. Captain US Navy (Ret.). Served his country in WW II and the Korean War. Prominent Cincinnati businessman. VP and Treasurer N-Ren Corp., General Manager Sudan-Ren, Khartoum. Practiced law Simon and Namanworth 1981 to retirement. Enjoyed traveling abroad with beloved wife. Active in community and the Catholic Church, member Guardian Angels and Assumption parishes, helped found Tom Geiger House and Over the Rhine Soup Kitchen. Visitation will be held 5-7 PM Friday July 15 at Gilligan Funeral Home, 2926 Woodburn Ave. Funeral Services 11 AM Saturday July 16 at Assumption Church, 2622 Gilbert Ave. Memorials may be made to Assumption Church or to Over the Rhine Soup Kitchen care of Assumption Church.
