David Edward Clippinger, beloved husband of Joan Clippinger (nee Evans) for 23 years. Devoted father of Gwyne Falo, Carl (Jackie) Clippinger and Lance (Catherine) Clippinger. Cherished grandfather of Teshua, Deo, Yohana, Mark, Bryan, Jeffery, Amy, and Sarah. Dear brother of Ann Hawk and the late Carol Valentine. David is survived by nieces, nephews and a host of friends. David graduated from Withrow High School before going on to Miami University where he obtained a Bachelor's degree. David also proudly served our country in the United States Air Force. David was known throughout the community for his real estate developing, managing the Mariemont office of West Shell. An avid tennis player, back packer, skier, shooter, and golfer. Other hobbies included finance and politics. David lived most of his life in Mariemont where he served on Council and did much work obtaining land for parks and green space. Departed on March 3, 2015 at the age of 83. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, March 10th at 11:00 AM at Horizon Community Church, 3950 Newtown Rd. Cincinnati, OH 45244.
