Dane Williams, Sr. - 85 A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Barnabas Church, 10345 Montgomery Rd, Montgomery, OH for Dane Williams, Sr., formerly of Youngstown, who died March 1st. The service will also honor his daughter Jeanne, who passed away February 24th in Fairfield, Oh. Dane was born May 21, 1925, in Youngstown, the son of Frank C. "Buddy" and Hazel (Standing) Williams. He graduated from South High School in 1943 and enlisted in the U.S. Navy, where he crewed on PBM Mariner patrol bomber planes in the Pacific. Following the war, he returned to Youngstown where he met his future wife, Mary Jayne Cairns. Dane and "Jaynie" were married 61 years and had eight children: Brian (Linda) of Humble, TX; Barbara (Sharif) Aboushahba of Orlando, FL; Jeanne of Fairfield, OH, who preceded him in death by 5 days; Dane Jr. (Cindy) of Maineville, OH; Carolyn of Hilliard, OH; Holly of Fort Mill, SC; Patrick (Debbie) of Austintown; and Michael of Charlotte, NC; and 7 grandchildren.
