Dale Richard Schroer, age 64, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2018. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 am, Friday, May 4, 2018, at Bellarmine Chapel of Xavier University. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 5:00 PM until 7:30 PM at Gilligan Funeral Home, 2926 Woodburn Avenue, Walnut Hills, Ohio, 45206. Burial will immediately follow the funeral service at Spring Grove Cemetery. Dale was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on December 1, 1953. He graduated from Elder High School and continued on to receive a business degree from Xavier University. Dale was married to Peg Schroer (Yuenger) on August 2, 1980. They were married 38 years. Dale worked in marketing for the Sears Corporation for 35 years. Outside of work he enjoyed reading, working in the yard, and cheering on his favorite Cincinnati sports teams, especially the Reds and the Musketeers. Dale will be lovingly remembered by his wife Peg, and daughter Jennifer, his brother Greg and sisters Nancy, Marianne, and Jane, their spouses, as well as many other family and friends. Dale is preceded in death by his parents Earl and Marilyn Schroer (Dornacher). His family wishes to thank staff and nurses at The Ohio Blood Cancer Center that cared for him so well in his final months. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given Ohio Blood Cancer Center at Jewish Hospital.
