Cornelia "Connie" LaGrange (nee Cole), beloved wife of the late Glen A. LaGrange. Loving mother of Terry Czernik, Chicago, IL, Bonnie Wall (Tom) of Atlanta, GA, Patty Burke (Tim), Mary Behan (Pat), Lori Smith (Mike), John (Helen) all of Cincinnati, and the late Rob La Grange. Dear grandma of Tara Burke, Nora Wagner, Adam Wall, Michael Burke, Katie Tilt, Glen Czernik, Dustin Smith, Natalie Smith, Molly Dery, Maggie Behan, Bonnie LaGrange and Kevin LaGrange. Great grandma of Collin, Devin, Brendan, Claire, Ryan, Sam, Lily, Lida and Benjamin. Preceded in death by her beloved sisters, Cecilia Cartlidge of Ottawa, Canada, and Kathleen Farragher of Toronto, Canada. Also survived by five nieces and a nephew. January 11, 2011 at age 88. Connie was born in Toronto, Canada, to Albert and Nora Cole. She and her two sisters performed in Toronto as The Cole Sisters and later harmonized every time they were together. She met her husband, Glen, in Toronto while he was there attending college. She was very active at Xavier University where Glen taught for 37 years. She was one of the founders and first president of the Xavier Faculty Wives Club, president of the Booklovers Association, and chairman of the 1984 Mardi Gras Ball fundraiser. She was a member of the Catholic Women's Club and was active in her children's schools, as a Campfire leader and Cub Scout leader. Connie will be remembered for her love of family and friends, singing, playing bridge, and traveling. Most of all, she enjoyed family get-togethers. She always appreciated a good party. Visitation will be at Gilligan Funeral Home on Montgomery Road in Kenwood on Sunday, January 16th from 3-5 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Trinity Church, Montgomery Road, Norwood, Monday, January 17 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Glen LaGrange Scholarship Fund, Xavier University, 3800 Victory Parkway, Cincinnati, OH 45207 or the charity of one's choice.
