Colette Ann Wurzelbacher

Colette Ann Wurzelbacher (nee Doyle), of Cincinnati, passed away peacefully at the age of 97 on June 19, 2026 at Seasons Courtyard in Kenwood.

Born September 26, 1928 to Colette Ann Scholl and Howard Doyle, she was pre deceased by her siblings John Doyle, Peg Weber, Pat Hall and Barb Doyle. She is survived by her four children Barbara Arntt, Mary Hogan (Phil), Lyn Streight, and Bob Wurzelbacher (Beth), as well as seven grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren.

Ann attended St Mary’s Parish School, followed by Mt. Notre Dame Academy and the University of Cincinnati where she was a member of Theta Phi Alpha. Her family became the focus of her life, involving herself in the education and lives of her children, while weaving her love and mastery of flower and vegetable gardening, cooking and sewing into their lives. As they left home, she was frequently off to see them and their families across the country.

Ann was an excellent bridge player, enjoying decades of games with her friends. For many years she was a member of the College Hill Garden Club and a volunteer at Christ Child Day Nursery and Franciscan Terrace, an assisted living facility in Wyoming, where she managed the gift shop.

A Requiem Mass with her sister, Barbara Ellen Doyle, is scheduled for Wednesday July 22, 11:00 AM, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 2845 Erie Avenue, Cincinnati OH. 45208. Interment at Calvary Cemetery immediately following.
