Charlotte (Ferris) Kilcoyne passed away peacefully on June 25, 2026 at the age of 83. Nine days apart was too long, and her loving husband Tom Kilcoyne passed away peacefully on July 4, 2026 at the age of 84, after a long illness. Married for 57 years, they were an amazing couple.
Charlotte’s warmth and kindness left an indelible mark on all who knew her. With an eye for decorating, she brought beauty to every space she touched. Her home was always a welcoming place, particularly during the holidays, and her Christmas cookies were legendary. Charlotte loved to dance, loved animals of all kinds, and never missed a Bengals game. Nothing was more important to Charlotte than caring for those she loved, as shown in her unwavering dedication to Tom during his illness.
Tom had a work ethic unlike most, never sitting still for long. He had a special bond with his three sisters, and cherished his role as uncle to his nieces and nephews. Humor was at the heart of everything for Tom. Quick-witted with a contagious laugh, he loved a good story and used laughter to bring people together. He was kind-hearted, easy to be around, and always willing to lend a helping hand.
Above all else was Charlotte and Tom’s devotion to each other and their family. They were incredibly loving parents to their two children, Michelle Kilcoyne (Jason Currie) and John Kilcoyne (Ann-Marie Stuart), and adoring grandparents to grandson Julian Currie. They loved nothing more than spending time with their family, creating memories that will be cherished forever.
Charlotte was predeceased by her parents, Nancy (Fabian) and Ira Ferris and her brother Steven Ferris. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret (Mahoney) and John Kilcoyne; stepmother Vera Kilcoyne; sister Mary Margaret Hoffman; and brothers-in-law Kenneth Hoffman and David Hornback. Tom is survived by his sisters, Kathleen Hornback and Irene Kilcoyne. Both are survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
