Carmelita Agnes Schlueter (nee Siemer), age 96, passed away peacefully on Nov 5, 2021. She was born on June 24, 1925 in New Lexington, OH to John and Wilhelmina (nee Park) Siemer. She moved to Cincinnati as a youth and graduated from Seton High School and the University of Cincinnati College of Engineering and Commerce.

Carmelita, or Carm to her friends and family, married Elmer (Moe) Schlueter, MD in 1949. They were happily married for 67 years and were blessed with 5 children.

Carmelita was known for her unbelievable intelligence and photographic memory. She never forgot anyone or anything in her long life and friends and family marveled at her encyclopedic knowledge of people, places and things. She was an early adopter of accounting programs and was a bookkeeper/accountant for Elmer's medical practice, and a volunteer at St. John's Social Services, and St. Saviour Parish. She also volunteered for many years in the office at Ursuline Academy. Carmelita was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority on the University of Cincinnati campus, was an avid bridge player and a 38-year member of the Mavis Investment Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband Elmer, son Eric, grandson Daniel and brother William Park Siemer. She is survived by daughter-in-law Phyllis Schlueter (Eric), daughters Paula (Mark) Wagner, Phyllis (David) Rutti and Mary Pat (Mark) Fischer, son Frank (Mary Welsh), 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation Friday Nov 19, 5-7 p.m. at Gilligan Funeral Home in Kenwood (45236). Mass of Christian burial Saturday Nov 20, 10:00 a.m. at St. Xavier Church, Sycamore St, Downtown Cincinnati. Livestream link at StXchurch.org.
