Mom was widowed at 33; I was 7, my brothers Kent and Jim were 9 and 2. The best Mom (Bernice McVey) in the world had to go to work, and we did whatever needed to be done to help out. We laughed around the dinner table and sang around the piano.""It took me seven years to work my way through college, then was hired by P&G, where I had a fabulous career, first traveling the country conducting market research door-to-door, then in copy-and media research, working with the agencies, evaluating the effectiveness of our commercials.""I dated in my twenties and thirties, but when Howard Sr. came along, he was it, and if he had had 50 children, I'd have married him. I married at 40, and they said, "She finally found Mr. (W)Right."We had 36 years together and I loved every minute. I now am grateful to have his six great children. We are very close.""I am so glad I was able to move into Twin Lakes in Montgomery, Ohio. Great employees, great neighbors, and I'll be taken care of the rest of my life."Note from son Howard Wright Jr.:I was 6 years old when Barbara agreed to marry our father and become our mother. We were very fortunate and blessed her answer was YES! Her favorite song was "Climb Every Mountain" from the "The Sound of Music."The movie came out at the same time she was marrying our father and taking on a big family, as was she!
