Barbara (Webb) Coyle

Barbara Webb Coyle, 68, passed away surrounded by her loving family on September 20, 2026, following an extremely short, but courageous battle with cancer.

Barbara was born March 25, 1958, in Cleveland, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Leonard and Alice (Hohlfelder) Webb. She was a devoted wife, mother, stepmother, sister, cousin, aunt, and a loyal friend to many.

Barbara graduated from Hathaway Brown School, and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Spanish Literature from Kenyon College. She was a fourth-grade teacher at Bethany School in Glendale, Ohio, for many years, where she dedicated herself to educating and encouraging her students. Her compassion, patience, and genuine love for teaching made a lasting impact on the many children and families she served.

Having been married at Bethany School’s Chapel, Barbara and her loving husband, David, were looking forward to celebrating their thirtieth wedding anniversary on November 30, 2026. Together, they built a life filled with love, family, and cherished friends.

Barbara will be remembered for her enthusiastic volunteerism for Bethany School, Archbishop Moeller High School, Ursuline Academy, Boy Scout Troop 674, and many others. Barbara treasured time spent with family, her dog, Sunny, and the many special moments shared with her closest friends, and her TRHOMF family. Her warmth, kindness, and giving spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Barbara is survived by her beloved husband, David Coyle, their son Chase, stepdaughter Kristin (Colin), siblings Patricia (Edward), Kathleen (the late Col. Neal, USAF, Ret.), Sugie, Douglas (Teresa), Nancy, Linda (John), Robert (Hilary), Richard (Shannon), and Rodger (Nikki), nieces and nephews Emily, Hayden, Katherine, William, Christopher, Andrew (Katherine), and Patrick (Elizabeth), grandchildren Theodore and Frederick, and cousins Debra (Steven) and Harvey.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 27, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Gilligan Funeral Home, 8225 Montgomery Road, Cincinnati, OH

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 28, at Bethany School Chapel, 501 Albion Ave. A celebration of Barbara’s life will immediately follow at The Reading Community Arts Center 415 West Benson Street, Reading, OH

An additional visitation in Cleveland will be held on Tuesday, September 29, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Brown Forward Funeral Home, 17022 Chagrin Blvd, Shaker Heights, OH

A private family burial will be held at Lake View Cemetery in Cleveland, Ohio.

Barbara was a proud American, and greatly supported those who protected her country. Memorial donations may be made in Barbara’s memory to Tunnel to Towers or Wounded Warriors, P.O.
