Dr. Armando A. Cortez, beloved husband of Beverly A. Cortez, devoted father of Jordan A. Cortez and Austin A. Cortez, brother of Orlando Cortez, Bernard Cortez, Maria Cortez, and Amelia Wayne. Also survived by numerous extended family and friends. Departed Saturday, December 23, 2017, at the age of 75. Dr. Cortez was a medical doctor specializing in Obstetrics-Gynecology for over 40 years. In addition to having a private practice, Dr. Cortez practiced at numerous hospitals and clinics throughout greater Cincinnati, including: Tri-Health, Mercy, Cincinnati Health Department, Northside, Millville, and West End Heath Center. Dr. Cortez was also a Diplomat of the American College of Obstetrics-Gynecology. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 5, 2018 at the Gilligan Funeral Home, 2926 Woodburn Ave., from 11am to 8pm. Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10am Saturday, January 6, 2018, at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel at The Summit Country Day School, 2161 Grandin Rd. Internment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Montgomery, OH. Memorials may be made to either The Summit Country Day School or The Michael J. Fox Foundation.
