Anne Hughes (nee Hogan), registered nurse, nurse-anesthetist and social worker, died Jan. 26 at Scarlet Oaks Retirement Community. Her husband Joseph preceded her in death. Mrs. Hughes was a graduate of Mount Notre Dame Academy in Reading and the Mercy Hospital school of Nursing in Hamilton. She later studied anesthesiology at University of Cincinnati, and then earned degrees in social work at the college of Mount St. Joseph and UC. She is survived by a daughter, Kathleen Taylor, and son, Robert, both of Cincinnati, and son Joseph of Cambridge, Mass., sister Julie Pratt, brother Martin Hogan, both of Cincinnati, and one granddaughter. No visitation. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, February 2 at 10:30am to be held at Holy Trinity Church, 2420 Drex Ave., Norwood. Memorials: Sisters of Notre Dame retirement fund, 701 E.
