Obituary

Angela Martini, née Hopkins, faithful wife and loving mother, nana, sister, and friend, entered into eternal life with our Heavenly Father on September 1st, 2025. Angela is survived by her devoted husband of 48 years, Phil, their three children Mary (Patrick McGee), Phillip (Sara), and Caroline (Brent Xia), and eight grandchildren Annabelle, Fitzpatrick, Welles, Graeme, Will, Winslet, Elise, and Luca. She is also survived by her siblings Mary (Robert) Olson, Karen (Ken) Lenhart, Patty (Brent) Sinclair, Greg (Peggy) Hopkins, Gary (Antoniela) Hopkins, Michelle (Vince) Pecoraro, Julia (James) Lutz, Dan (Nancy) Hopkins, and John Hopkins and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Margaret Hopkins, and sister Beverly Joesting.

Born and raised in Cincinnati, Angela met the love of her life, Phil, and not many years later relocated to Minnesota where they spent over 20 wonderful years. They later moved the family to Carmel, Indiana, then finally in the most recent years back home to Cincinnati.

Angela was a devoted and loving mother and dedicated her life to raising her three children. She was happy to keep the household running in her many roles as personal chauffeur, private chef, mediator, therapist, and spiritual advisor. She was the heart of her home, and found her greatest fulfillment in her roles as mother and nana, always providing unwavering love and encouragement to those she cherished most.

Angela loved many things about life: taking sunset walks on Treasure Island Beach, her many fitness activities, volunteering as a Eucharistic minister, attending daily mass with her sisters, and basking in the sunshine on a sunny day. She delighted in spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Most of all, she had an intense and unwavering love of the Lord. A devout Catholic all her life, Angela led her family with faith and always trusted in the Lord's plan. Her faith was lived out daily in how she loved and served others with grace and kindness. She would always encourage us to do our good deed for the day. We know that Angela is where she worked her whole life to be - at peace in the arms of her Savior - and we eagerly await the day that we can be reunited.

A mass of Christian Burial will take place at All Saints Church, 8939 Montgomery Road, Kenwood, on Friday, September 5th, at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor
