Alphonso A. Caligiuri Beloved husband of the late Marjorie Caligiuri (nee Schaefer). Devoted father of Diane (Terry) Waller, Victoria (Dustin) Bailey and the late Billy Caligiuri. Cherished grandfather of Alex Waller, Nick Waller, Anthony Bailey, and Dominic Bailey. Dear brother of Victoria Sponzilli. Departed on December 16, 2015 at the age of 85. Alphonso served in the US Navy during the Korean War. When he returned he received his engineering degree from Marquette University and Masters from University of Cincinnati. He was an engineer and additionally a Tenor recording and performing with Columbia and London records during the 60's. As he retired, he started an Italian and Spanish dance group called the Command Performers, that performed at festivals. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 20th from 2:00 pm 4:00 pm at Gilligan Funeral Home, 8225 Montgomery Rd. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, December 21st at 10:00 am at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 8815 E. Kemper Rd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 644 Linn St., Suite 1026, Cincinnati, OH 45203.
