Allan E. Sawtelle, better known as "Buzz". Buzz Sawtelle died on April 5, 2013 as the result of a massive heart attack that took place on March 14 near Richmond, VA where he stopped after making a delivery with his eight-wheeler. He was born on April 11, 1947 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Buzz was a graduate from Wyoming High School. He volunteered for service in the army during the Vietnamese War. He was a member of the Honor Guard in D.C. He worked as bartender and limo driver, before he found his calling as a truck driver. Never married, Buzz leaves behind his parents, Allan and Bobbie Sawtelle of Maple Knoll Village in Springdale, OH; one brother, Rev. Roger A. Sawtelle and his wife, Ann, of Lowell, MA; and two sisters-in-law, Mary Allen Sawtelle of Burke, VA, and Iva Sawtelle of Trenton, OH; 5 nieces and nephews; and many friends. Predeceasing Buzz were two brothers, Timothy I. Sawtelle and Jeffrey S. Sawtelle. His Memorial Service will be at the Maple Knoll Community Chapel on May 25 at 10:00 a.m. followed by burial in Spring Grove Cemetery.
