Amberley Village - Albert G. Sicking, 85, of Amberley Village, passed away on Friday, January 8, 2021. Al is survived by his beloved wife of 29 years, Carol Sicking (nee Wilhelm), sons Geoff Neller and Joel Neller (wife, Emily Neller (nee Maas)). Cherished grandchildren, Kensington Neller and Camryn Neller. Loving sister, Mary Navarro (nee Sicking). Albert was a graduate of St. Xavier High school where he was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame for his prowess on the basketball court. He went on to pursue his college education at the University of Dayton. He had an extraordinary gift in both academics and athletics. He received his bachelor's degree in accounting and was a member of the men's basketball team. Twice, Al led the Dayton Flyers basketball team to the Finals of the National Invitational Tournament in New York City. His next stop was at the University of Cincinnati Law School, where he would earn his Juris Doctorate. After graduation he began working for the U.S. Department of Treasury as an Estate and Gift Tax Attorney for the IRS. He would eventually retire from the IRS after more than 50 years of service. He enjoyed his retirement years soaking up the sun in Hilton Head Island with family and friends. He also volunteered at CET where he was a member of the Planned Giving Committee.
