CINCINNATI - Charlotte Heinrich (nee Totten), age 97, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 27, 2018, surrounded by family.

Widow of Clifford E. Heinrich and loving mother of Mark (Jane Koehl) and Cynthia (Nicholas Payne); grandmother of Susan Heinrich (Gregg Zito), Timothy K. Heinrich (Karen Zepf), Stephen Payne (deceased), Karen Ronningen (Jeff); great-grandmother of Althea Zito, Madeleine Heinrich, Timothy P. Heinrich, Madeline and Alexandra Ronningen, Alison Saunders and US Army Staff Sergeant Michael Saunders, Reed and Hannah Payne; great-great-grandmother of Emma Capito; loving aunt to 15 nieces and nephews and honorary mother and friend of many.

The daughter of Leroy Charles and Margaret Pauline (Hogan) Totten of Cincinnati and sister of George Gilmer Totten (deceased), Charlotte graduated from Mt. Notre Dame Academy in 1938 and went on to Business College and worked at P&G for several years before marrying in 1945. She was a founding member of St. Vincent Ferrer Parish in Kenwood. Widowed in 1970, she worked at SafeCo Insurance until retirement. She enjoyed travel (she visited every state in the USA, Cuba, Caribbean Islands, Mexico, Canada, Europe, and the USSR), being with family and friends, genealogy, sewing, bridge and other card games and meeting people. She lived with Cynthia and Nicholas from 1997 - 2016, when she moved to The Lodge Retirement Community where she enjoyed Catholic services, Bingo and special music programs.

Charlotte was buried at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will take place on Friday, October 12, 2018 at The First Unitarian Church of Cincinnati, 536 Linton St., 45219 at 7pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, or a charity of your choice.
